|| Obnoxious creeps... ||
Honestly, I get really annoyed when I meet people who likes to look down on others. One example from NYJC is Ms Queenie Wong, the HOD of science. I can still vividly recall the day I was pleading with her for my choice of subject of chemistry, physics and maths. What really ticked me off was what she said to me. "You didn't take pure science during secondary school. So for physics and chemistry you have to work 50% hard for each. And then you also no a.maths, which is required for physics. No a.maths, c.maths have to work extra 50%, and physics also die."Naturally, I responded by giving the "I will put in that extra effort" line. Then she went ahead to tell me, "I know from my experience. Last time, we used to have a girl like you too. Indian girl, same situation as you, and very hard-working. Studied very hard for her promos. But yet, in the end, she failed badly, and cried. So you better just take single science, and econs." So, to her, I can't improve. Just because I'm a combined science student means I'll definitely fail my sciences. And just because I didn't take a.maths during my secondary days means I cannot handle c.maths. This was what really pissed me off. She is wrong to assume that everyone is the same.
And I'll definitely prove it to her. (Just watch me do it.)
Why do I suddenly mention this past event? Because today I got to know of another teacher similiar in attitude towards the students. And it's bugging me. I'm not her student, she's not my teacher, and I only got to know of her existance today. And yet, she criticized me without a damn reason. By saying how bad I am at Gp if I don't have content and what not. This is just that same mentality of "you can't do it now, you can't do it at all" that I hate so much.
Don't condemn others, just by the first impressions of what they are capable of. It's unfair to them.
Phew. Feel so much better after getting that off my chest. Sorry for that extremely long rant, I just had to sound it out. (Otherwise I might be in a pretty bad mood... hahhaa~)
The lectures today had me slacking good. I brought lots of rice crackers with me, and was eating them like nobody's business. Eating and drinking in the LT, made me feel like I was watching a movie. =D The only thing that was missing was pretty girls to look at. Had there been any beautiful babes around, my attention to the lectures would have been zero. =P Sure is fun, lectures.
Tomorrow is an all tutorial day. No slacking allowed. xP
Til then.!
