|| Farewell~ ||
Today was the farewell for choir j2s. Sad as it may sound, it turned out to be pretty good. Except for the untimely rain that lasted for quite awhile. Lets see now... The j1 and j2s met up at orchard mrt station at around 11am, where we got together, sang a birthday song for vanessa, had a little talk and went for lunch. (at 11am! heh.) Lunch was at scotts foodcourt, the only place big enough to seat a group of ~25 people. It was then that they started giving out the little prezzies for everyone. So nice..(and i'm feeling very guilty. haha.) After that, at 12.30 pm we met up again at orchard and started our little(yea right.) game of amazing race.It was quite simple to follow. You get 3 envelopes, each with a bunch of clues and instructions. Until you complete the tasks in one envelope, you may not open others. So we started off with one envelope, where the tasks are located in orchard. Went from wheelock place to ck tangs to far east shopping center to taka on foot, followed by the next envelope which had its tasks located at douby ghuat. We walked all the way to park mall, Fort Canning Park and to the ROM. While we were walking from somerset, the weather had to go against us. It was raining. And rain it did. The weather had to be a female dog, it seems. Anyways, we didn't have much choice but to continue our amazing race.
After we were done with Fort Canning, our next envelope led us to CHIJMES and yep, raffles city. It wasn't before long we were in esplanade, and from then on it was just plain walking. All the way down to marina bay. It took us around 1 hour or so to walk from esplanade to marina bay.
Our journey from orchard to marina bay on foot was indeed treacherous and arduous, but we didn't expect ourselves to face that much of an evil aura, a negative dip in the area of "luck". Seriously we were plagued with bad luck from the very start of the race. We had to search for some IPod book, and went to borders. Leo had asked for some help to look for the book, and the lady he asked for help realised that we were playing a game. Then all of a sudden, she started going crazy and told us to not play games in there and blah blah blah. After she left, another guy came to take her place, repeating what she had said. Honestly, we were quite pissed off already. We were just searching for a book! It was bloody annoying when they kept telling us to not play game in borders.
And when we were at far east shopping center, on the 6th level we found what we were supposed to look for, a door ring/knob thing. Know those door rings on the ancient chinese doors? Yea. And there was this paranoid security guard tailing us around, for whatever reasons only he knows. When we had to take a picture of it, the security guard went psycho as well and demanded that we follow him down to ask permission of the management of that unit. Permission to take a photo of his DOOR RING. Really really pissed off already.
On the way from esplanade to marina bay, we had to walk this long bridge across, and continue on grass. As it was raining, the grassland(...?) was pretty slippery, and jeanie slipped and tore/ripped her slippers. (That's alot of slip in one sentence.. and err, i don't know what is a correct word for that kind of scenerio.) I think she was the most affected today, with all the shit thrown at her. Could tell she was pretty pissed when we were on the way to marina bay.
Had the BBQ-steamboat thingy there, where I made a new friend as another J2 joined us for dinner and played lots at the arcade. I played panic park with leo, and then yen soon. Haha it looks retarded to the bystanders, but to the players to pretty fun to just go wild and push like mad. Retarded game, yes. But fun. wahha. Dinner was fun and hilarious. At one point leo and I laughed so hard we cried. =D At the end of the day, gifts were given to J2s from the J1s, (I didn't contribute at all. =/) and the J2s gave the J1s gifts as well. Then was photo taking, and a little cheer before everyone scramed.
Man, I only got to know those J2s for like a few weeks,(more like a couple) and today was the last day I could see them. Kinda sad, as I was just getting to know them and all. But I think it was even worst for those who joined them from 1st three months. They all shared many memories together. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to look forward to the next batch of j1s. =)
